HOUSTON — Job seekers looking for a new opportunity will have a chance to meet face-to-face with dozens of employers when the Greater Houston Career Fair 2026 comes to Houston on Saturday, Sept. 12.
More than 60 employers, universities and community organizations are expected to participate in the free event, which organizers anticipate will attract more than 2,000 job seekers and professionals.
“Who should attend? Anyone looking for a job!” said Kenneth Li, president of Taiwanese Career Alliance Houston and chairman and co-founder of the Southwest Management District.
Among the participating employers are major Taiwanese technology companies Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as Foxconn; Wistron Corporation; Inventec Corporation; and Sysgration. The companies are recruiting in areas including hardware engineering, software development, supply chain management and global operations, with company representatives expected to conduct on-site networking and interviews.
Li said opportunities will extend beyond the technology sector, with employers looking for workers in manufacturing, engineering, information technology, finance, human resources, management, business development, production operations and support positions.
“If you’re looking for a job opportunity or considering a job change, you should consider coming here,” Li said. “You can meet with HR representatives and submit your resume. Who knows, you might find a job opportunity!”
The fair is also intended to reach people at different stages of their careers — from recent graduates to experienced workers looking for something new.
“This includes not only graduates from colleges and professional schools but also individuals who have been laid off due to AI advancements and others who are changing their careers,” Li said.
Organizers say the event also provides an opportunity to introduce Houston-area workers to international companies expanding their presence in Texas and the United States.
“Many new companies from Taiwan, South Korea, and other parts of Asia and the world are coming to Texas,” Li said. “They are not only bringing capital but also creating jobs.”
For Li, connecting people with those opportunities is also important to Houston’s broader economy.
“For the city’s economy to thrive, there needs to be job creation and job growth,” he said. “When people get hired and stay in the area, it benefits the city.”
The career fair is hosted by the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston and Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce of North America.
