Secure Your Expo Table Now

We are excited to announce the inaugural Houston Community Media Expo, Conference & Awards, taking place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the United Way Conference Center, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007.

This event will bring together communication specialists, outreach coordinators from government, business, nonprofits, foundations, and academia, as well as representatives from PR and advertising agencies, social media influencers, media professionals, students, and community media leaders from print, online, radio, TV, podcasts, and social media platforms. The goal is to strengthen communication efforts to better serve all communities.

We invite you to participate as an attendee and take advantage of a shared table during the Expo to showcase your publication. The Expo will be open during lunch and the reception periods of the conference, providing an excellent opportunity to engage with community media organizations and hundreds of attendees.

If you’re interested in participating, please respond through this link by May 15, 2025. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tuesday, July 8th AGENDA (subject to change)

  • 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM | Expo Set-up, Registration
  • 9:30 AM – 11:15 AM | Welcome Session & Plenary
  • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Communication Champions & Proclamation
  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Expo & Box Lunch
  • 1:15 PM – 4:30 PM | Workshops / Sessions / Breakouts
  • 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | Awards Reception
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Awards Ceremony

Expo Booth Information:

  • Shared 5′ table with linen
  • One tabletop sign featuring your logo (logo due by May 15, 2025)
  • Load-in: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM on July 8
  • Load-out: 5:15 PM if not attending the awards ceremony. If attending the awards, please load out immediately following the ceremony.
  • Important: Please remove all materials at the end of the day.
  • Note: The venue does not provide electrical access.
